As a Starbucks paralegal senior – Licensing & Channel Development, you will be part of the team supporting Starbucks licensed stores and channel development businesses. You will participate in the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements with third-party brand licensees, will collect and organize information to confirm related regulatory compliance, and will help advise clients on operational issues and dispute resolution. We are seeking applicants who can support fast-paced business development organizations, interact directly with clients and external parties and their legal teams, draft clear and effective contract language, and organize and prioritize an active pipeline of deals and related matters. 

Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:

Draft – Under the leadership of attorneys, be actively involved in the drafting of Starbucks contracts with brand licensees
Interact – Engage directly with clients and counterparties on deals and projects
Support – Support our attorneys in their work with our client teams
Problem-Solve – Be part of problem solving and process improvement with our clients and other functional support teams
Qualifications - External
We’d love to hear from people with:

Law firm or in-house corporate legal department experience
7+ years relevant paralegal experience
Significant contract drafting experience
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to evaluate and prioritize competing client needs across a large volume of work
Comfort and flexibility with technology
Knowledge of franchising a plus
The pay range for this position may be narrower than that displayed, depending on where the work is performed.
