Job Description: Law Clerk Vacancy - Chambers of the Honorable Mary K. Dimke, U.S. District Court, Eastern Washington. This is a two-year term clerk position, beginning August 2022. The position is in person and based out of Spokane, WA, with occasional travel to Yakima, WA and Richland, WA required. The term law clerk provides legal support to the Judge by conducting substantial legal research and writing, including preparing orders, memoranda, and draft opinions in both civil and criminal cases. The term clerk will review civil and criminal records and legal submissions; perform legal research on a wide array of issues; prepare bench memoranda; draft and edit orders and opinions; attend court proceedings; and perform case management as necessary through the Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system. The term clerk will also perform certain administrative functions as necessary.
