Washington State. NJP is the state’s publicly funded, not-for-profit law firm, NJP provides free civil legal services to address barriers and promote justice for all low-income persons in Washington. NJP pursues its mission of Combating Injustice • Strengthening Communities • Protecting Human Dignity through legal advice and representation, community partnerships, and education to empower clients and combat injustice in all its forms.
NJP seeks applications from qualified attorneys to fill the role of Senior Managing Attorney (SMA). NJP’s Senior Managing Attorney position provides critical leadership to support organizational growth, ongoing needs for staff professional development, and effective, impactful performance of NJP’s field offices and statewide units. This position is based in Western Washington and provides management support, supervision, and direct assistance to NJP’s Managing Attorneys in the following offices/statewide units: Port Angeles, Olympia, Aberdeen, Longview, Vancouver, the Native American Unit, and the Foreclosure Prevention Unit.
The SMA is a member of the Statewide Advocacy Team (comprised of the Director of Advocacy, Senior Managing Attorney - Client Access, two other regional Senior Managing Attorneys, and Statewide Advocacy Counsel) to support NJP’s race equity commitments, mission and commitment to promote the long-term well-being of NJP’s client communities.
