Job Description: The Opportunity
Washington Employment Benefits Advocates seeks a motivated paralegal to help run our growing practice. WEBA is a small firm that focuses on unemployment benefit disputes in Washington State. We handle legal issues including denial of benefits, overpayments, and all levels of administrative appeals. Our focus is ensuring our clients receive the benefits they’ve earned, running an efficient firm, and growing the practice while maintaining a good work-life balance. 

Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, able to implement workflow systems, and has excellent communication skills. At WEBA you’ll work closely with the partners on unemployment benefits cases. You’ll handle client contacts, interviews, case tracking, billing, and legal research.
Position Details
• Salary: $25.00 per hour
• Location: Remote
• Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
• Reports to: WEBA Partners
• Position Start Date: Immediate opening
Qualifications and Skills
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication 
• Comfortable with Remote Work, Zoom, Teleconference meetings
• Familiarity with Legal Case Management Systems
• Legal Research
• Preference given to candidates with Spanish or Vietnamese language background
Responsibilities and Duties
• Answer phone calls from clients and potential clients
• Schedule consultations and meetings
• Interview clients
• Take notes and develop cases
• Work closely with attorneys to prepare cases for hearing
• Client Billing
• Assist with marketing including drafting SEO Articles
• Update social media
