NJP is a not-for-profit law firm that provides free civil legal services to address barriers and promote justice for low-income persons throughout the state. NJP is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Managing Attorney for its Farmworker Unit (FWU). The FWU is a statewide unit that provides legal assistance to low-income agricultural workers throughout Washington. Currently the FWU works out of NJP’s Yakima and Wenatchee offices. The FWU focuses its advocacy on matters of high priority to the farmworker community, including employment and civil rights. In addition, the FWU engages in extensive community outreach, community education and community partnerships. Attorneys with experience working with farmworker and immigrant communities are encouraged to apply.

This is a regular full-time position leading a statewide unit. This position may be located in either NJP’s Yakima or Wenatchee office.

The Managing Attorney provides direct supervision and management of the unit’s legal and support staff. The Managing Attorney reports to the Senior Managing Attorney of their assigned region.

Salary range is $95,000 – $145,000 based on relevant experience. We offer comprehensive benefits package which includes 100% paid employee health premiums and significant premium shares for family health premiums, as well as generous time off.
