El Centro de la Raza has declared itself a sensitive location for purposes of immigration enforcement policy and has been committed to supporting families, communities, and organizations in light of the federal government’s recent threats to implement anti-immigrant policies. To continue this commitment, El Centro de la Raza is hiring a Sensitive Location Project Coordinator to work under the supervision of the Executive Director to develop and disseminate a toolkit for community-based organizations in Seattle and King County to designate themselves as “sensitive locations” (with respect to immigration enforcement activities). The Sensitive Location Project Coordinator will also support organizations as they plan and implement emergency safety planning for families at risk of detention or deportation. In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating the emergency safety planning activities based at El Centro de la Raza. See Position Announcement.pdf.
